“Exploring beyond the familiar Hunter Valley fuels Rebecca’s artistic growth. A trip to Canberra revealed unexpected natural beauty, from Urambi Hills’ sweeping views to the National Arboretum’s rich textures. En plein air studies in Michealgo, steeped in bushranger lore, evoked Banjo Paterson’s poetry, inspiring exhibition titles. Yarra’s revived creek, vibrant after rain, became a poetic muse. Her work seeks to connect with all Australians, celebrating nature’s resilience and beauty. Through light, colour, and form, she captures landscapes that inspire a deeper love for the land and a personal connection to its ever-changing essence.”
